Note on Changing Ingredient Amounts
|
|
When you change the amount field for an ingredient in a recipe, Do-It! will
make calculations based on the new amount you enter:

Do-It! can only do this if the original amount and the new amount has a similar
measurement group.
There are two different measurement groups:
1) Based on a measure such as teaspoons, cups, ounces, or pounds
2) Based on an item such as 1 tomato, 1/2 chicken breast, or 2
packages
As long as the new measure you type in is in the same group, all values will be
recalculated. However, if you try to change groups for an ingredient, the
calculations will not work.
Examples:

Bad Measurements |
|
If you do happen to mix measurement groups, you will see dashes for all
nutritional fields:

In the example above, the original amount: 1 tablespoon, was replaced with
a new amount: 3 chickens. '3 chickens of sugar' does not make sense, so the
calculations did not take place.
If this does happen to you, either replace the amount with the original amount,
or delete, then re-add the ingredient.
